Easton has a long history of pushing the envelope on hockey stick performance, and has continued that tradition with the Easton RS stick. The RS stick has evolved from the foundation of the former S17 stick and S19 stick. Moving from the S17 to S19, Easton wanted to improve durability and increase the “pop” on shot release, so they stiffened the elliptical profile and re-engineered the blade. Moving from the S19 to RS, Easton wanted to really fine tune the flex profile and perfect the overall stick feel.

Prior to designing the RS stick, Easton wanted to re-visit what their overall goals were for the new stick. What it really came down to was, “making the most out of your opportunities.” In a typical hockey game your team might get around 30 shots, and each player may only get a couple of opportunities to get a good look at the net. As a result, Easton really wanted to make a stick that players can trust that has high-end performance and a predictable feel. When your opportunity comes in the game the RS can help you capitalize on it. When Easton fine-tuned the flex profile, they were able to make it smoother and more consistent, while increasing the “pop” to the shot release.

Easton has also introduced some new materials in the Stealth RS stick that has decreased the overall weight while not sacrificing durability at all. The Easton RS stick features slightly different shaft dimensions than the S19 stick. According to Easton a large majority of their NHL pro players were all using the same shaft dimensions, so they decided to take that as a sign and apply those shaft dimensions to the retail version of the RS stick. The new shaft dimensions have straight sidewalls, and rounded corners. In comparing the RS shaft dimensions to the S19 it is a slight difference but seems like the RS is just a little bit narrower.

The RS stick has an extremely light feel. It may not be the lightest stick on the market but it certainly is in that category. As far as the shot release goes it felt amazing. Has a really snappy feel, and felt like the puck was just jumping off the blade. The RS stick excels most on wrist shots and snap shots, but don’t let this shy you away from taking clappers from the point or one-timers in the slot.

The Easton Stealth RS hockey sticks are available at IceWarehouse.com.

Bauer Vapor APX Hockey Stick Review

Bauer Vapor APX Hockey Stick Review

The Bauer Vapor APX hockey stick picks up where the X60 stick left off, and takes the Bauer Vapor stick line into a whole new stratosphere. So to start it off let’s go over what Bauer has kept the same on the APX as the X60 stick, both sticks feature: the high-grade TeXtreme carbon fiber, monocomp design (true one-piece construction), Intelli-sense shot technology (flex profile), Micro Feel II shaft dimensions (slightly smaller and rounded shaft dimensions).

One of the areas where Bauer wanted to improve on was the blade core and puck feel of the X60 stick. Bauer felt they had really nailed the ideal puck feel with the TotalOne sticks and wanted to duplicate it in the Vapor stick line, although they ran into a problem. Since the Vapor line has the lower kick point the heavier blade core was making the blade deflect too much which they did not want. So to get around this they used the heavier dense Power Core III material on the lower portion of the blade where the puck has contact. Then on the upper half Bauer utilized the Aero Foam II which is a much lighter material. This way they were able to decrease the overall blade weight while, capturing the same puck feel as that the TotalOne sticks have, and eliminating the blade deflection.

The other feature that really sets the APX stick apart from others is a new resin they are using. According to Bauer the new resin helps extend the life span of the stick in a few ways. First, this resin is suppose to help the stick maintain its pop throughout the sticks life. In my trip to Bauer’s head quarters in New Hampshire they mentioned that one complaint on the one95 stick was that it lost its pop after a while, and they wanted to address this issue.

In Bauer’s lab testing the APX with the new resin has far surpassed any other stick they have ever made. Another way this resin really helps is in the sticks overall durability. Often a player with take a slash or block a shot with their stick during play and it will not break the stick but it will cause a very small fracture in the stick. Over time this crack will spread much like a crack on car’s windshield. Till one day that play takes that “magical” shot that just destroys the stick and it breaks. The new resin on the Vapor APX stick helps prevent those small crack from growing and spreading over time. According to Bauer the Vapor APX stick will be the most durable top of the line stick they have.

Warrior Widow 2011 Hockey Stick Review

Warrior Widow 2011 Review

The Warrior Widow Hockey Sticks are the top of the line sticks from Warrior offering the very best materials and features from Warrior. The Warrior Widow stick is the only stick in the Warrior line that features a True 1 piece stick construction for better control, balance, and feel.

Warrior has given the Widow stick the D-Lite blade core which is the evolution of the Double D blade core. Using a double density internal polymer core, D-lite technology allows for a very stable heel and base area which transitions to a very light and springy mid-toe area. The center of gravity of the blade is also moved closer to the heel area, which makes the blade feel lighter but does not affect stability at impact. Taper hosel area is hollow, allowing for more weight savings. Additional aramid internal blade cap helps impact durability and prolongs blade life.

Warrior has also introduced the Dagger Taper Technology to the Widow hockey stick to offer a lower flex point than ever before with even more pop. The Dagger Taper keeps the hand area stiffer and allows the stick to flex lower in the shaft and blade area as well as in the upper handle. This loads and releases the shaft and blade together for more flex and better pop on slap shots, snap shots and wrist shots.

Construction:

True 1 piece ensures the most consistent and responsive stick construction on the market, without artificial joints or weak points

Single piece fully molded shaft and blade

Multi-bias fiber placement to reinforce internal shaft structure and improve impact durability

Carbon Elite construction uses the highest-quality lightweight carbon-fiber pre-preg materials

Pro-Balance blade and handle design for improved stick feel and weight distribution

Shaft:

Dagger Taper Technology:

Features an aggressive 12-inch taper from hosel to shaft for increased lower flex on all shots

Keeps the hand area stiffer and allows the stick to flex lower in the shaft and blade area as well as in the upper handle.

This loads and releases the shaft and blade together for more flex and better pop on slap shots, snap shots and wrist shots

Additional three-inch stick length to avoid use of heavy extensions and end plugs

Geometry:

Double concave and slightly rounded corners

Grip: Smooth matte stick finish

Blade:

D-Lite blade core features stable heel with super-lightweight tow for improved balance and puck control

D-Lite is an evolution of the DD blade core using denser foams in the heel and softer foams in the toe for improved power and feel

X-Stitch blade wrap carbon/aramid mix for increased durability and power transfer

Flex: 85, and 100

Length: 63"

Weight: Posted upon stick arrival

Reebok 6K Sickick III Grip Hockey Stick Review

Reebok 6K Sickick Stick Review
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; To provide the performance that one would expect from Bauer, they have used an INNEGRA™ fiber wrap in the paddle and blade. Bauer has also used a reinforced aerospace core in the paddle of the Supreme One100 goalie stick. This combination enhances the durability of the stick by providing additional stiffness, but also helps to reduce the overall weight and vibrations of the stick.

The One100 goal stick also uses an ergonomic paddle design that allows the stick flat face and remain lightweight. Bauer has used a tacky, ribbed design on the shoulder of the One100 goal stick calling it the "Control Zone." As the name states, this feature increases the control with the stick by ensuring it doesn't slip out of the hand. This goal stick also utilizes double concave walls in the shaft allowing for excellent feel with the stick.

Bauer Supreme One100 Goalie Stick Features:

Construction:

Full composite design

Shaft:

Double concave geometry for better feel

Paddle:

Ergonomic geometry improves rebound control, balance, and reduces weight

Reinforced aerospace core for increased stiffness and puck control

INNEGRA™ reinforced outer wrap

Blade:

Optimized stiffness for better rebound control

Low density foam for optimized balance and feel

Grip:

Anatomical tactile control zone on shoulder for increased control

Weight: 773 grams (based on P34 curve 26.5")

Curve / Type

P31 / Mid Open Curve

P34 / Heel Wedge

P39 / Heel Closed

Goalie Curve Guideline:
L = Left (Regular) = You hold the stick in your RIGHT hand
R = Right (Full Right) = You hold the stick in your LEFT hand

Warrior 2011 Dolomite DD Hockey Stick Review

2011 Warrior Dolomite DD Review

The 2011 Warrior Dolomite DD is a great all-round stick for intermediate players at an affordable price. While top-of-line Warrior sticks like the Kronik are a little lighter, they are also more expensive.

I really like the change in graphics for 2011. I was never crazy about the out-of-control 80`s graphics they used in past years.

The Dolomite DD has a low kick point which makes the stick easy-to-load so it`s great for wrist shots and snap shots. You might think about a stick with a higher kick point if you`re going to be taking a lot of slap shots.

The Double DD blade is designed with a dense foam core in the heel and softer foam in the toe. This gives you a great feel when stick handling the puck puck and makes it easier to receive passes.

2011 Warrior Dolomite DD Features:

Multi-bias fiber placement to reinforce internal shaft structure

Carbon Elite construction

Double D blade core. High-density mid-to-heel zone to provide maximum velocity and durability. Low-density toe zone to soften puck-handling feel and passing

Precision taper focuses energy at lower quarter for easy and quick load and release

Pro-Balance blade and shaft design for improved stick feel and weight distribution

Nipple Grip coating

474 grams

NIPPLE GRIP

Newly improved nipples are 12% firmer to improve tactile grip and create a supple hand transition. Less hand slip provides more direct energy transfer into the stick for increased shot velocity.

DOUBLE D BLADE CORE

The combination of two polymers in the blade adds strength where you need it and cuts weight where you don’t. High-density foam is used in the heel to provide maximum velocity and durability by increasing the blade’s center of gravity. Low-density foam is used in the toe to reduce weight and soften feel. This combination of Double Densities decreases blade torque at contact.

PRECISION TAPER

A longer, lower tapered section focuses energy into the bottom quadrant of the stick. This concentration of flex eases load and release for increased shot velocity with little effort.

Easton EQ40 2011 Hockey Stick Review

Easton EQ40 2011 Stick Review
The 2011 Easton EQ40 hockey stick offers a great advanced level of performance with an excellent balance point for an unbelievable feel. The X60 LE stick also features a smooth matte stick finish.

The X60 LE hockey stick is the only stick in the Vapor line using TeXtreme® carbon fiber. TeXtreme® is exceptionally light and offers great power. Due to the stick design and type of carbon used the X60 stick has a great light and balanced feel, without feeling blade heavy. The X:60 hockey stick is not the lightest stick on the market but certainly in the category of lightest. Bauer has also introduced the Micro Feel II shaft dimensions, offering double concave walls and rounded corners. The Micro Feel II shaft has a great feel, and according to Bauer easier puck handling and superior control.

Like all Vapors sticks, the X60 LE comes with the Micro Feel shaft gives you a nice feel using double concave walls with rounded corners. The Stick'um coating provides extra grip.

The 2011 X60 LE is tapered at the bottom towards the blade. Less stick at this point gives you the ability to snap your shop for a quicker release. Strength is made up in the blade with the Pure Shot profile, which is a thicker blade at the heel of the stick. The foam that makes up the inner blade construction called 'Aero Foam' helps you absorb the puck when receiving passes so the puck isn't bouncing around all over the place.

The 2011 Bauer X60 LE uses the Intelli-Sense Shot Technology wich adjusts the flex points in the stick depending on your hand placements on the stick.

Bauer Vapor X60 Hockey Stick Review:

Bauer Vapor X60 Hockey Stick Features:

Intelli-Sense Shot Technology

Pure Shot Blade Profile

Lightweight TeXtreme® construction

New Micro Feel II shaft dimension

Double concave walls

Aero Foam II blade technology

VAPOR Premium dual taper

Monocomp Technology

Stick’um Grip

Jordon and Eric Stall on the Bauer X60:

Can't afford the Bauer X60? That's exactly what these sticks are designed for. Although slightly heavier than the Warrior Dolomite, the shaft edges on the Bandito are more rounded than the Warrior Vandal for a more comfortable feel. The clean, black and white graphics offer a nice alternative if you're not a big fan of the out-of-control graphics on most Warrior hockey sticks.

2011 Warrior Bandito Features

Precision taper focuses energy at lower quarter for easy load and release

Carbon Deluxe internal construction

21% recoil increase for maximum velocity

Soft-core blade construction resists torque but allows for improved feel

Nipple Grip coating

500 grams

NIPPLE GRIP

Newly improved nipples for 2011 are 12% firmer than the 2010 model to improve tactile grip and create a supple hand transition. Less hand slip provides more direct energy transfer into the stick for increased shot velocity.

PRECISION TAPER

A longer, lower tapered section focuses energy into the bottom portion of the stick. Bauer introduced the Silver Grip graphics on the X40 for 2011.

The Micro Feel shaft gives you a nice feel using double concave walls with rounded corners. The Stick'um coating provides extra grip.

The stick is tapered at the bottom towards the blade.

Like all Vapors, the Bauer X40 uses the Intelli-sense Shot Technology wich adjusts the flex points in the stick depending on your hand placements on the stick.

Intelli-Sense Shot Technology

Pure Shot Blade Profile

Micro Feel II shaft dimension

Double concave walls

Aero Foam II blade technology

VAPOR Premium dual taper

Stick’um Grip

Looking for a less expensive Bauer stick?
Check out the Bauer Vapor X:20 or if you like wood sticks, try the Bauer Supreme One55.

Custom Hockey Sticks

Where to Buy Custom Hockey Sticks

Bauer Hockey

Bauer offers an excellent, easy use website where you can fully customize your own Supreme TotalOne or Vapor X:60. Most rec hockey players, won't notice the difference and are better off saving their money.

The shaft is the same as the Bauer TotalOne Supreme with a double-concave wall with squared off corners. (Take a look at the Vapor series if you prefer more rounded off corners.) In the mid portion of the Supreme One100 stick you'll notice a series of bumps on the corners designed to fit how your hand wraps around the stick that Bauer calls 'Tac-Spiral'. This textured portion of the shaft gives you a better grip for your lower hand and more control over the stick. Very comfortable.

The One100 has a mid kick-point which will give you more power for your slap shot than a low kick-point stick. It's built as a single piece using mono-comp design for a very balanced, responsive feel for the puck.

The One100 blade is built with the Aero Foam II core for a nice soft feel for stick handling as well stability for a quick shot.

Bauer Supreme ONE100 Review from Ice Warehouse:

Stamkos hypes the Bauer Supreme ONE100:

Base Hockey Sticks

Base Hockey Sticks

A lot of people have been asking about the new Base Hockey Sticks from Cliff Ronning's new stick company.

Here's some basic info on Base Hockey

Name

The name Base Hockey was chosen to focus on the development of fundamentals. This stick is a slap shot machine - perfect for one-timers.

The TotalOne has an extremely low strength to weight ratio. The flex point has been moved up to the middle of the stick to add more power to your slap shot. It's built as a single piece using mono-comp design for a very balanced, responsive feel for the puck.

The Shaft

Like all Supreme sticks, the TotalOne features a shaft with double-concave wall with squared off corners. (Take a look at the Vapor series if you prefer more rounded off corners.) Half way down the Totalone stick you'll notice a series of bumps on the corners designed to fit how your hand wraps around the stick that Bauer calls 'Tac-Spiral'. This textured portion of the shaft gives you a better grip for your lower hand and more control over the stick. Very comfortable.

Bauer has also introduced the Pure Shot Blade profile that expands the throat to increase blade rigidity resulting in a more powerful and more accurate shot.

The TotalOne hockey stick also features a new core utilizing the Aero Foam II for stability and feel while the Power Core 3 offers a lighter weight for a better balanced stick. Bauer has also used aramid fibers in the foam cores to increase strength and vibration dampening. "Our model is to treat everybody like a pro and the response so far has been fabulous."

While golfers routinely spend big bucks to find just the right set of clubs, many hockey players often get by with what's on sale at Canadian Tire or simply what feels adequate. Ronning wants to change this.

Read more about Cliff Ronning Custom Hockey Sticks at: Burnaby Now

Easton EQ50 Hockey Stick Review

Easton EQ50 Hockey Stick Review

With the release of the EQ50, Easton takes the E16 to the next level.

Visible Focus Weight Technology (15 grams) redistributes weight to the impact area to control hard passes and keep the puck on your blade

Customizable weighted end cap for optimal balance with adjustable swing weight

Kevlar® wrapped shaft for impact protection and vibration dampening

Multi-Rib™ and Micro-Bladder™ blade

Easton’s SE16 stick offered the player one of the softest touches in the game with its Focus Weight Technology™. A process that places weight in key areas in the blade and the shaft to improve the balance and feel. Easton has built on this technology in the EQ50 stick.

The EQ50 will feature a fine-tuned, exposed weight system in the heel of the blade. Redistributing the weight in the blade to the heel dampens the blade in the key impact section, allowing the player to cradle passes easier improving puck control.

To offset this redistributed weight in the blade, Easton precisely adds weight to the end of the shaft. Weight at the end of the shaft counter balances the blade for optimal swing weight. This Focus Weight Technology™ delivers a truly balanced feeling stick with enhanced puck control.

The Easton EQ50 stick allows the player to customize the balance of the stick, by adding/subtracting removable weights in the end plug. By adding/subtracting one or more of the 5g metal discs the player can fine-tune the balance of the stick to meet their preference. As a guide Easton provides a chart on the stick to calculate the recommend number of disc based on the length of the stick.

The Easton EQ50 hockey stick is available at IceWarehouse.com

EQ50 Ad from Easton:

CCM U+ CL Tavares Stick Review

The CCM U+ CL Tavares Edition hockey stick offers the same great features as the regular U+ Crazy Light but with the blue and orange islanders colors, and the Tavares curve. This is one of the lightest sticks on the market. The CCM U+ CL offers a great balanced crazy light feel.

CCM has constructed the U+ Crazy Light out of multiple layers of high-grade carbon fiber to reduce weight and maintain performance and durability. What sets this stick apart from others on the market is how CCM has been able to construct a stick at this weight and without compromising the performance. The extremely lightweight feel offers better puck feel and balance, quicker reaction time, faster swing speed, and hopefully more pucks in the back of the net.

The impact enhanced slash zone increases durability against slashes and impacts. This is a nice touch because that is something a player does not always have control over. The Crazy Light also features a tapered shaft resulting in a low kick point for fast shot releases.

CCM has used what they are calling a matt textured grip on the U+ CL. This grip has almost a light matted sandpaper feel. It does not have a tacky feel prohibiting glove movement. This grip allows lower hand movement while still adding grip and enhancing stick control.

Tavares Epic Goal from the 2009 World Juniors

CCM Crazy Light U+ Stick Review

CCM Crazy Light U+ Stick Review

CCM has constructed the U+ Crazy Light out of multiple layers of high-grade carbon fiber to reduce weight and maintain performance and durability. I mean, I played on the left for 21 years. It's really amazing how 35 feet to the other side can change your whole outlook on the game. Everything kind of seems to happen on fast-forward.”

There are advantages: A left-handed shot on the right has his stick-blade in the centre of the ice when facing shooters, and it's easier to intercept passes.

But there are also problems, like trying to hold a puck in the offensive zone with a hard-charging opponent in your face. “That's hard enough to do on the forehand,” Gorges said.

The biggest drawback, he added, is emerging from behind the net or making dump-ins at the opposing blueline. “You're exposing your back to the middle of the ice, guys can crunch you and you might not see them coming.”

Fellow Hab Jaroslav Spacek made no secret of his wish to play on the left side when he joined the team as a free agent last summer, but he was overruled by Montreal coach Jacques Martin and has been playing on the right alongside Czech countryman Roman Hamrlik, a fellow left-handed shot.

Is he used to it yet? “No,” Spacek grimaced in a recent interview.

Spacek leads the NHL in giveaways, and some of that clearly has to do with going back to an unaccustomed position. Though he played the right side in Europe, the NHL is a different animal, especially for a player who has patrolled the left for more than a decade.

“It's not easy to have the puck on your backhand all night,” Spacek said. “It's harder to make a good pass on the breakouts. You have to try not to go around yourself too much, and make the simple plays, but it's harder for sure, you have to look over your shoulder all the time, you can't see the whole ice when you pick the puck up.”

Right-handed shots are at a premium on bluelines across the NHL. The Habs have only one righty, Ryan O'Byrne.

The good news for Habs Nation is that the organization's three top defensive prospects – P.K. Subban, Yannick Weber and Mathieu Carle – are all righties.

Among Canadian NHL teams, the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators each have at least two right-handed shots among their top seven defencemen.

In acquiring Ian White and Steve Staios, the Calgary Flames have restored balance to their corps of regular blueliners – four lefties, three righties.

But that's the exception rather than the rule. Minnesota, the Rangers and Buffalo have a similar mix, but Philadelphia, New Jersey and Florida have all-lefty defencemen.

More than a half dozen other teams have just one right-handed shot on defence – in some cases none in their top six – including Carolina, Columbus, Detroit, the Islanders and Colorado.

In future, that will mean more players having to get used to shovelling the puck up the boards on their backhand, or learning to bang it off the glass effectively in traffic.

“It's all about confidence and experience,” Gorges said. “But it takes a while, no question.”

More Canadiens Shoot Left - Americans Right

The New York Times recently contacted stick manufacturers and found that, according to sales figures, that discrepancy between the two nations was consistent.

We Canadians like to shoot from the left with about 60 per cent of the sticks sold in this country curved that way, according to numbers provided by Easton. In the U.S., about 60 per cent of the sticks sold are for right-handed shooters. Some manufacturers put the ratio at 70 to 30 on each side of the border.

"I have no idea why this is so," Mike Mountain, who is in charge of hockey sticks for Easton in Van Nuys, Calif., told the Times. "But it has been true for years, and it doesn't change; it stays consistent over time."

Chad Purdy has been selling sticks in Surrey, B.C., for 22 years and has long puzzled about why some customers shoot left while others are righties.

As manager of The Hockey Shop, he actually sells more right-hand sticks than left, which goes against the prevailing numbers, but he said on every team he has played on and on the area youth teams he services, there are almost always a majority of lefties.

So why does he sell more right sticks, by about 10 per cent? And why is he left with more left sticks in his shop at the end of a hockey season?

"Breakage," he says.

Purdy's theory is that right-handed shooters, while in the minority, go through more sticks and have to purchase a new stick more often. Most people are right-handed, meaning that when they shoot right their more powerful hand is on the lower part of the stick.

"That puts more force on the shaft and those sticks break more often," he suggests.

Purdy also has a theory about why most Canadians shoot left. He believes a preferred shooting side is imprinted on us, passed on from generation to generation in Canada.

"I shot left because my dad shot left and my first stick was one of his that he cut down for me," he said. "Kids learn so quickly with whatever they're given."

However, in the U.S., he suggests, a lot of players are from new hockey families. As the first generation to take up the sport, they don't make their stick selection based on a bias. For many, too, hockey might not be the first sport they try. If they've already been playing baseball or golf – sports in which a majority are right-swinging – it might feel more natural for them to shoot a hockey stick that way.

In Europe, the majority of players shoot left. On the Russian team here at the Olympics, for example, 17 of its 20 skaters are lefties. Ditto for the Slovaks. The Finns have 15 left-handed shooters and the team from Belarus has 16.

Purdy has a "real loose" theory on that too, based on his own inventory. Since a lot of leftover sticks in North America have long been shipped to Europe, he figures shooting left is just how many players grew up. Those were the sticks Europeans first had access to and then it became ingrained in their hockey culture to shoot left no matter the origin of the sticks.

150-year-old Hockey Stick to be Auctioned during Olympics

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; The suspects then made off with the brand new hockey sticks, valued between $80 and $300 each.

Police arrested a 29 year old Thunder Bay man just after 3 p.m. Jan. 6 when he allegedly tried to sell the two stolen hockey sticks to an undercover police officer at the Delaney Arena.Police later arrested a 27-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman. Officers recovered seven of the stolen hockey sticks.

Police continue to investigate, and say they believe a number of the stolen sticks may have already been sold at area arenas. About 40 sticks of various brands, including Reebok, Sherwood, Easton, Warriors, TPS and CCM, remain missing.

Thunder Bay Police Service officials are now asking that anyone who may be in possession of one of the stolen composite hockey sticks to contact police at 684-1200.

Reebok Crosby 10K Hockey Stick Review

Reebok 10K Stick Review

The Reebok 10K is available in 2 versions the standard edition and the Crosby 'Gold' edition which is the only version with the Crosby curve.

A light, responsive, snappy stick available in both Grip and non-Grip.

Sick-Kick technology with the tapered bottom shaft gives you a low kickpoint for an explosive shot.

The matrix-weave construction gives you expert control and stability. The S17 isn't as durable as the S19, but unless you're taking heavy slap shops, the S17 should hold up just fine. Also keep in mind that the S17's are more flexible than they are rated, so order a slightly stiffer flex than you're used to. Definitely worth saving the $100 if you don't break sticks very often.

Bauer Vapor X60 Hockey Stick Review

Bauer Vapor X60 Hockey Stick Review

Available in Clear grip or Stick'um Coating

What separates the top-of-the-line X60 from the rest of the Vapor line is the Lightweight TeXtreme® construction which makes the stick super-light, and super-strong.

Like all Vapors sticks, the X60 comes with the Micro Feel shaft gives you a nice feel using double concave walls with rounded corners. The Stick'um coating provides extra grip.

The stick is tapered at the bottom towards the blade.

The Bauer X6o uses the Intelli-Sense Shot Technology wich adjusts the flex points in the stick depending on your hand placements on the stick.

Intelli-Sense Shot Technology

Pure Shot Blade Profile

Lightweight TeXtreme® construction

New Micro Feel II shaft dimension

Double concave walls

Aero Foam II blade technology

VAPOR Premium dual taper

Monocomp Technology

Stick’um Grip

Jordon and Eric Stall on the Bauer X60:

Can't afford the Bauer X60? Length and geometry of the taper is modified to reduce slop, increase shot-loading capacity and speed the reaction time of the stick

Spyne Blade – Warrior's patented Spyne blade uses the latest in carbon-molding technology to produce accurate shot control.

Molded structural feature on the back face of the graphite blade.

Acts like a spring, directing energy into the heel of the blade. Releases energy faster with more control and accuracy. Reduces blade torque and reduces weight.

Molded shape creates an internal carbon structure. The stiffness effect follows the shape of the Spyne feature around the edges to control the direction and flow of energy from the tow of the blade into the heel.

HD Blade with Angel Hair Technology – Warrior developed a completely new core material that uses high-impact epoxy combined with Angel Hair micro-strands of carbon fiber. This produces a rigid, durable blade core that has more spring and pop than ever before.

The HD blade core is heavier than a comparable foam core because it carries more flex and impact. This reduces the carbon exterior of the blade to improve response, resulting in a lighter overall weight.

5-Skin Impact Protection -- Proprietary composite skin that protects the shaft against impact. The Stick'um coating provides extra grip.

The stick is tapered at the bottom towards the blade.

Like all Vapors, the X4o uses the Intelli-sense Shot Technology wich adjusts the flex points in the stick depending on your hand placements on the stick.

Intelli-Sense Shot Technology

Pure Shot Blade Profile

Micro Feel II shaft dimension

Double concave walls

Aero Foam II blade technology

VAPOR Premium dual taper

Stick’um Grip

Looking for a less expensive Bauer stick?
Check out the Bauer Vapor X:20 or if you like wood sticks, try the Bauer Supreme One55.

Warrior Dolomite Hockey Stick Review

Warrior Dolomite Hockey Stick Review

Multi-Bias layers for more stable web of fibers through the length of the shaft

Double D Blade combines two foams in the core of the blade.

High-Density foam is used in the heel to provide maximum velocity and durability.
